It’s about time—we finally made a Cosmic Brownie costume inspired by the classic 90s treat. This look is playful, nostalgic, and surprisingly simple to put together.
The base is just a brown dress and a bunch of oversized 3D chocolate chips. We used Model Magic to sculpt the chips because it’s lightweight and easy to shape, but you can use any air-dry clay or even foam if you prefer. The costume is fun to wear and practical: carry a Cosmic Brownie box as a purse to complete the look and hand out treats while you’re out—instant conversation starter.

Supplies Needed
- Brown dress
- Model Magic clay (either pre-colored or white Model Magic plus paint)
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Step-by-Step Tutorial
- Take a ping-pong-ball-sized piece of Model Magic and roll it into a rough pyramid. Press the pointed tip slightly to flatten and curve it so it resembles a chocolate chip.
- Set each chip aside to air dry according to the clay manufacturer’s instructions. Repeat until you’ve made enough chips to cover the dress where you want decoration.
- Arrange the dry chips on the dress to plan your layout. Once satisfied, use a hot glue gun to attach the chips. If you plan to sit while wearing the costume, avoid gluing chips across the seating area for comfort.

This costume pairs perfectly with other nostalgic snack costumes. Try coordinating with a frosted animal cookie or Pop-Tart costume for group or couple outfits. It’s a cheerful, recognizable theme that’s great for friends, siblings, or parent-child duos.
Have fun with color and scale—bigger chips and a bold box purse make the look pop. Happy crafting!
