DIY Emoji Gift Wrap Ideas for Fun, Personalized Presents

Emoji presents

Our emoji ornaments were so popular last year that I couldn’t resist turning another holiday DIY into an emoji project. Emoji gift wrap is perfect for last-minute presents—just yellow wrapping or craft paper and a few sheets of cardstock are all you need. Grab a roll of yellow paper from the art store and you’re ready to go.

Supplies:
Yellow wrapping or art paper
Black, white, red, pink and/or turquoise cardstock
Double-sided tape, glue dots, or a glue stick

DIY Emoji Gift Wrap

Instructions:
1. Pick the emojis you want to create and cut out the facial features from cardstock: eyes, mouths, hearts, tears, tongues, etc. If freehand cutting isn’t your thing, use your computer screen as a lightbox. Open an enlarged image of the emoji to the size you want on your gift, hold a sheet of paper or thin cardboard against the screen, trace the shapes, cut them out and use those paper shapes as templates for your cardstock.
2. Wrap your gift in yellow paper, then attach the cardstock features with double-sided tape, glue dots, or a glue stick to form the emoji face. For a playful touch, make a different emoji on each side of the package.

This is also a great idea for a gift-wrapping party. Provide rolls of yellow paper, a variety of cardstock colors, scissors and adhesive, and let everyone design their own emoji-wrapped presents.
