DIY Sprinkle Balloon Stickers: How to Make Fun Confetti Balloon Decals

Balloons

What a weekend! We moved Studio DIY’s headquarters to a new space and then went to a lively Meghan Trainor concert—danced a ton and had an unforgettable night. If your weekend was busy too, this quick and fun Cricut project is perfect: DIY balloon stickers inspired by sprinkles, ice cream and donuts. They’re simple, stylish, and make ordinary balloons feel festive.

  1. Open the project in Cricut Design Space and follow the prompts to cut your shapes from adhesive vinyl.
  2. Peel the vinyl shapes from their backing and apply them to inflated balloons wherever you like. That’s it—so easy!

Not a Cricut owner? You can still make these using the Design Space Print and Cut approach and some hand-cutting:

  1. Click “Make It Now” for the project you want.
  2. Choose “Customize.”
  3. Select all images and click “Flatten” in the right-hand menu.
  4. Click “Go,” then “Print and Continue.” Print the template from your printer. You can ignore the prompt about connecting a Cricut—once printed you’ll trace the shapes onto vinyl and cut them by hand.

I used the same method to create two other sweet balloon designs. Follow the same instructions for each project.

DIY Donut Balloon Stickers

Donut balloon stickers: use the project files and cut the donut shapes from vinyl, layering colors for frosting and sprinkles.

DIY Ice Cream Balloon Stickers

Ice cream balloon stickers: create cones and scoops with contrasting vinyl colors and add small sprinkle pieces for detail.
