This is my first DIY nail tutorial — and honestly, I’m not the most graceful nail painter. My nails usually get wrecked by crafting, and detailed nail art is something I rarely attempt. But this manicure is delightfully simple and perfect for anyone, even if you’re not a steady hand. It’s a confetti manicure, part two of a confetti series with The Confetti Bar. I used a pack with the tiniest metallic confetti pieces, which are just the right size to jazz up an all-white manicure. The result is festive, fun, and very easy to create at home.

Also, can we admire those giant macarons? These confetti nails were made to hold macarons… and confetti, naturally.

Supplies:
– Nail polish in your chosen color
– Clear top coat
– Metallic confetti (choose the smallest pieces for best results)
– Tweezers
Work with slightly wet polish so the confetti will stick. Depending on how fast your polish dries, paint a few nails at a time. Apply at least two coats of your base color. While the second coat is still tacky, use tweezers to place individual confetti pieces on the nail. Position them randomly — overlap some, scatter others — to create a tossed-confetti look.

After you’ve added confetti to a nail, seal it with a top coat. I noticed that a few hot-pink pieces bled slightly when I brushed the top coat on, so to avoid smudging you can “drip” a small amount of top coat onto the nail and then gently spread it with the brush. Alternatively, choose confetti colors that don’t bleed. Once the top coat dries, your manicure will have a glossy, party-ready finish.

A fun bonus: after a few days, some confetti pieces may lift and fall off, but they often leave a tiny colored circle behind on the nail. It’s a charming little effect — like getting two looks from one manicure.

Layering confetti adds extra dimension and sparkle — confetti on confetti can be particularly eye-catching.

Make sure all the little details are party-ready — including your nails. Leftover confetti is great for tossing at the guest of honor, filling confetti poppers, or saving for another project.
