Graduates may appreciate cash, but homemade treats are memorable too. These “Smart Cookie” graduation party favors are an easy, fun way to celebrate. With a Cricut and the right supplies you can print, cut, assemble, and fill charming treat boxes in no time. Below are the materials and simple steps to make these cookie packages for your next graduation gathering.

Cricut Explore or similar cutting machine + cutting mat
White cardstock
Smart Cookie printable designs
Bone folder and ruler (optional, for crisp folds)
Double-stick tape
Cellophane treat bags
Cookies or other small treats

1. Open the project file in Cricut Design Space and select “Make It Now.” Use the Print Then Cut feature to print the cookie box designs. If this is your first time using Print Then Cut, follow the on-screen calibration instructions; they are straightforward and quick.
2. Place the printed sheet on the cutting mat and let the Cricut cut the design following the prompts on screen.
3. Score the fold lines with a ruler and bone folder for neat creases. Fold the side tabs inward, overlap them, and secure with double-stick tape.
4. Fold up the bottom flap and tape it closed. Place each cookie into a cellophane bag, slide the bag into the box, and seal the top flap with tape. Your favor is complete.
If you don’t own a cutting machine, you can still make these favors. Print the designs, then hand-cut them and follow the remaining assembly steps. Hand cutting requires more time but produces the same charming result.

Will I ever tire of a good pun? Probably not—puns make party favors even more fun.
