The holiday season is here — from tacky sweater parties to office gatherings, Christmas celebrations and New Year’s Eve. That means outfits, accessories and quick, festive hairstyles. We teamed up with Living Proof to create three head-to-toe holiday looks that are fun, easy and perfect for busy days filled with parties.

We used Living Proof products for each style and were impressed by how well they performed — and how good they smelled. The brand’s product selector is helpful for choosing the right items for your hair type, which is great if you’re not a hair expert. Below are the details for each look, from hair products to outfit suggestions.

Glitter Roots

Products: Living Proof Prime Style Extender | Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray | Living Proof Instant Texture Mist | Craft-store glitter

Stefanie from Page Beauty pulled the hair into a low ponytail and used Instant Texture Mist to add volume and grip — this spray creates great texture and body. For the glittered roots, she applied a small amount of Prime Style Extender at the roots as a sticky base, then sprinkled three types of glitter. Finally, she set everything with Flex Hairspray to keep the sparkle in place.

Outfit idea: Cozy but festive — pair a fun sweater with sequin pants, a statement purse and sparkly heels for a holiday-ready look that’s equal parts comfy and celebratory.

Comfy Christmas Day

For a cozy, camera-ready Christmas Day look — think lounging on the couch with family while still looking cute enough for candid photos. We went with overalls and a half-up top knot for a relaxed, festive vibe.

Half-up Top Knot

Products: Living Proof Prime Style Extender | Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo | Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray | Twist scarf

We started with Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo to refresh second-day hair — it absorbs oil without leaving residue, and the scent is very pleasant. The hair was pulled half-up into a top knot, secured and set with Prime Style Extender and Flex Hairspray for staying power through family activities. A twist scarf wrapped around the bun finishes the look with a playful bow.

Outfit idea: A retro fair isle sweater paired with overalls, a crossbody purse and comfy shoes creates an adorable and livable holiday outfit that still photographs well.

New Year’s Eve Glam

New Year’s Eve calls for maximum sparkle. For this look we paired sequins and faux fur with simple, glamorous waves and a festive tinsel topper repurposed as a hair clip.

Glam Waves

Products: Living Proof Satin Hair Serum | Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray | Tinsel gift topper

To keep the hair polished among bold clothing choices, we created large, soft waves and smoothed the ends with Satin Hair Serum for shine. A small piece of tinsel gift topper, pinned with a bobby pin, adds instant party flair.

Outfit idea: A sequin dress with a faux fur coat and statement heels makes a striking NYE ensemble — balance bold textures with understated, glossy hair.

What holiday events are on your calendar this year? Whatever you choose, I hope it involves sequins — and maybe a little glitter too.
