Candy lovers, rejoice! One of my favorite Los Angeles candy boutiques, Sugarfina, recently opened a bright, cheerful location in Pasadena. My husband Jeff and I couldn’t resist visiting to explore the new store. From Ice Cream Sundae Malt Balls and Fruity Loops (yes, fruit loop–flavored) to Birthday Cake Caramels and the signature Champagne Gummy Bears, the Pasadena shop carries an inspired selection of sweets sourced from the best confectioners around the world.
What makes Sugarfina stand out isn’t just the candy itself but the attention to detail in packaging and presentation. Every jar, box, and display is carefully designed, which makes the experience feel both indulgent and playful. The store feels like a curated candy gallery — Instagram-ready displays, tidy shelves of colorful jars, and gift boxes tied with perfectly proportioned bows. It’s a treat for the eyes as much as the taste buds.

We had a blast exploring the bright displays and sampling a few favorites, then took some playful photos in the studio afterward — everything felt whimsical and delicious. The Pasadena location captures the signature Sugarfina vibe: clean, modern interiors combined with nostalgic, colorful confections.
