Top DIY Costume Ideas from Our 2016 Collection

Studio DIY 2016 Costume Lineup

We tried something new this year. After keeping our costume shop under wraps for so long, I couldn’t hold back all the new DIY costume ideas any longer. Today I’m sharing the full lineup of fresh Halloween costume tutorials that we’ll be publishing from now through October. It’s been so fun to plan — and even better to finally let you in on what’s coming.

Our collection includes dessert-inspired looks, fruity costumes, and designs influenced by favorite movies and songs. The gang’s all here, and each concept is meant to be easy to recreate at home.

Some of the costumes are group sets and may include pieces or characters not shown in the photo (examples: the 90s toys and the Strawberry Shortcake group). I wanted to give you a peek so you can plan ahead if you like to prepare your costume early. We used our new shift dress as the base for many of these looks — it’s seriously versatile and made styling a bunch of different costumes so much easier. Shop the dress colors below.
