A few weeks ago we spent an unforgettable weekend in Scottsdale with a group of friends who became family six years ago through work. Over the years our circle has grown — we’ve added four kids and Brittni is expecting a fifth — so we gathered to celebrate her before the baby arrives. This was the first time we’d managed to get everyone together, including the husbands and all the kids, and it was pure joy.
We stayed at the Andaz Scottsdale and ended up barely leaving the hotel. Most days were spent beside the pool while the kids splashed and played, and evenings found us lounging on the grassy lawn outside our rooms after the little ones went to bed. We traded stories, caught up on each other’s lives, and started planning our next getaway. The weekend felt relaxed and effortless — exactly what you want when you’re recharging with good friends.

A few outfit sources mentioned during the trip:
My Blush Dress | My Striped Dress | My Hat
Arlo’s Striped Jumpsuit | Arlo’s Monstera Romper | Arlo’s Pom Pom Hat
Watching all the kids together was nearly overwhelming in the best way — so many little personalities interacting, exploring, and laughing. It’s a gift to see them growing up alongside each other. Do you take regular trips with friends and their families? Ours was a bit chaotic at times, but the chaos was delightful. We’re already excited for our next trip with Ash, Brit, and Lex.
p.s. Lexy made the most adorable hooded towels for the kids and shared a DIY tutorial that inspired us — they were a hit with everyone.
