After a week full of treats, I want to begin this week with a story that’s especially close to my heart: Taleah’s journey. PS I Adore You is more than a daily deal site — it’s a community-driven effort that raises awareness about childhood cancer and supports families who are facing the overwhelming costs that come with treatment. As a childhood cancer survivor myself, this cause is deeply meaningful to me, so when PS I Adore You invited me to share Taleah’s story, I was honored to help spread the word.
Taleah was first diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on August 26, 2011. After two and a half years of treatment she enjoyed a period of remission that lasted four months. Tragically, on March 24, 2014, her cancer returned and she began fighting again. Taleah is the oldest of four and comes from a large, loving family. She’s known for her energy and her dance moves — a reminder of the bright spirit she carries through difficult times.
PS I Adore You not only donates a portion of proceeds to cancer research, but also features a “Cancer Cutie” each month to raise awareness and funds to help cover medical expenses for the selected family. This month’s Cancer Cutie is Taleah, and many of us can make a real difference by sharing her story, offering support, or making a donation.
