So many of you tried our original DIY Lisa Frank costumes that we had to bring back a second round with new looks. This year’s lineup includes Casey the golden retriever, a pink kitten, a ballet bunny and a rainbow tiger—perfect for assembling a bright, nostalgic group costume inspired by ’90s throwbacks.

Casey the Golden Retriever
Yellow dress | Rainbow ribbon | Rainbow hair bows | DIY felt ears
How to make the ears: cut two ear shapes from yellow felt. Attach them to a sturdy plastic headband with hot glue, and add the rainbow bows on top for a playful finish.

Pink Kitten
Pink dress | Ruffle collar and cuffs | Gloves | Ruffle socks | DIY felt ears
How to make the ears: cut two larger cat ear shapes from pink felt and two smaller shapes from purple felt. Layer and glue the purple pieces onto the pink, then affix the ears to a plastic headband with hot glue.

Ballet Bunny
Purple leotard | Rainbow tutu | White tights | Mini tiara | DIY bunny ears | Purple flats | Pink ribbon
How to make the ears: cut two white ear shapes and two smaller pink inner-ear shapes from felt. Glue the pink pieces to the white pieces and attach both to a headband. For a finishing touch, tie a pink ribbon around your ankle before slipping on ballet flats.

Rainbow Tiger
White jumpsuit | DIY felt rainbow stripes | Temporary hem tape or hot glue | DIY felt ears
How to add the stripes: cut a variety of stripe shapes from rainbow-colored felt. Attach them to a white jumpsuit using temporary hem tape for a removable option or hot glue for a permanent look. For ears, layer pink felt onto purple felt and add small white and yellow felt accents, then secure the finished ears to a plastic headband.

We also still love the costumes from last year; those designs are a great complement if you want to mix and match characters for a larger group look.

My personal favorite from this round is Casey—the simplicity and nostalgia really make it stand out. Which character was your favorite growing up?
