I’m thrilled to share photos from my niece Kellyn’s geometric birthday party last month. Kellyn loves surprises, so my sister‑in‑law and I chose the theme. After last year’s rainbow‑hued celebration, this year we embraced bold geometry. I was also lucky to partner with The Land of Nod and used several of their pieces that fit the theme perfectly. We set up a colorful crafting and eating area with comfy poufs for the kids and added playful geometric touches throughout the party. Below are photos from the day along with a brief recap of the activities and décor.

I went geometric honeycomb crazy — giant honeycombs on the ground, medium ones paired with a large balloon, and tiny hexagons used on ice cream sandwich skewers. The repeating shapes gave the party a cohesive, modern look while keeping it bright and fun for kids.

Although most of the kids spent time running and playing, we planned a few structured activities. Quinn led a scavenger hunt and I set up a geometric bead station for making necklaces. It struck a great balance: simple crafts to keep hands busy plus outdoor play for burning energy.

I spotted a wall organizer that I used as a utensil station during the party and later gifted to Kellyn as a present. It served as both a practical piece for the event and a nice take‑home gift.

Below is a list of the main sources used for the party and the Land of Nod items we incorporated. Many thanks to The Land of Nod for contributing pieces that made the event so colorful and fun.
