Patriotic Star Confetti Balloons: DIY Fourth of July Decor

DIY Star Spangled Confetti Balloons

I couldn’t resist one last easy July 4th DIY before the holiday arrives — and yes, it involves balloons. These star-spangled confetti balloons are simple to make and instantly festive. With just a couple of quick steps you’ll have patriotic decorations that add a fun, colorful touch to any barbecue or party.

Start with clear latex balloons and fill them with red, white, and blue star-shaped confetti. A funnel helps get the confetti inside neatly, and a little static (rub the balloon gently on fabric) will help the confetti cling to the sides for maximum impact. Inflate the balloons with helium for floating displays or air if you prefer garlands or table arrangements.

For a polished look, tie each balloon with coordinating ribbon and anchor them with small weights or attach them to a decorative balloon string. Cluster several balloons together at varying heights to create eye-catching centerpieces, or scatter single balloons around your space for a playful vibe. These confetti balloons also pair well with other themed decor and can easily complement existing party colors.
