My husband and I are devoted ice cream lovers. We often end Sunday dinner with a bowl—or two—and sampling great ice cream is one of our favorite pastimes. Because of that, we’ve learned the best ice cream spots around Denver. I also have a soft spot for donuts, so if you’re visiting the Mile High City, I’m happy to show you both the best donuts and the best scoops.
Recently we spent a sunny afternoon at Denver’s beloved Little Man Ice Cream. This spot reliably draws a crowd—there’s almost always a line—but it’s worth the wait. The location itself is part of the charm: the shop resembles a giant vintage milk can and sits prominently on a corner. The atmosphere is lively with frequent live music, outdoor seating, and even summer movie nights. Families will appreciate the small play area with a slide that keeps kids entertained while adults enjoy their cones.
The menu is impressive and inventive. My personal favorites are Coconut Almond Fudge and Salted Caramel PB Cup—both rich, well-balanced, and utterly satisfying. Whether you prefer classic flavors or unique combinations, Little Man consistently delivers creamy, flavorful options that keep people coming back.
Beyond the delicious ice cream and charming venue, Little Man Ice Cream is committed to giving back. For each scoop sold, the shop donates a scoop of rice or beans to communities in need, a program that has resulted in substantial charitable contributions as they’ve served over one million scoops.
